These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all orders placed with Lasting Lyrics ("we", "us", "our") through our website. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering.

Lasting Lyrics is a UK-based sole trader providing bespoke, personalised song creation services.

To place an order, you complete our online questionnaire with details about the person your song is for, select an occasion and music style, choose a package, and complete payment. Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.
You must be 18 or over to place an order. By submitting an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share any details about other people that you include.
All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include any applicable taxes. Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering via our secure payment provider.
We do not run sales, discount codes, or seasonal offers. Prices may change from time to time, but any change will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
Once your order is confirmed, your song is created using a combination of creative input, production tools and professional software selected by Lasting Lyrics, and composed, arranged and produced based on the details you provide. Estimated delivery timeframes are shown at the point of ordering and depend on the package selected.
Your finished song will be delivered as a digital audio file (MP3) by email to the address provided at the time of ordering. It is your responsibility to ensure the email address provided is correct and able to receive attachments of this kind. If you do not receive your song within the expected timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate.
While we make every effort to meet estimated delivery timeframes, these are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates, particularly during busy periods or for occasions with specific date requirements (such as weddings). Where a specific delivery date is important, please make this clear when ordering or by contacting us, and we will do our best to accommodate it.
Each package includes a number of revision rounds, as set out at the point of ordering. Revisions allow you to request changes to elements such as lyrics, tone, or specific details, so the finished song reflects what you had in mind.
Revision requests must be submitted within 30 calendar days of delivery of your song. After this period, the order will be considered complete and any included revision entitlement will expire. We may, at our discretion, agree to make changes after this period, but such requests may be treated as a new order or may be subject to an additional charge.
A revision is intended to amend the song originally ordered, based on the original brief provided. Revisions do not include a complete rewrite, a change of recipient, a change of occasion, or the creation of an entirely new song — requests of this kind will be treated as a new order.
Requests for additional revisions beyond those included in your package, or made within the 30-day window but exceeding your package's revision rounds, may be accommodated at our discretion and may be subject to an additional charge, which we will always agree with you in advance.
You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any information, names, stories, and other details you provide for use in your song. You confirm that the content you provide does not contain anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, abusive, harassing, or infringing of another person's rights, and does not expose us to any legal liability.
We reserve the right to decline, pause, or ask you to revise any order where we reasonably consider the content provided falls into any of the categories above or is otherwise inappropriate. Where we decline an order on this basis before production has begun, we will provide a full refund.
For memorial and tribute songs in particular, we ask that you consider the wishes of close family members when sharing personal details about someone who has passed away.
Upon full payment, you receive a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use your personalised song for personal and non-commercial purposes — for example, playing it at a wedding or family event, sharing it privately with friends and family, or keeping it as a personal keepsake.
Each song is created exclusively for you. We do not resell, reuse, or upload your song to streaming platforms ourselves.
Commercial use, public release, distribution for profit, use in advertising, or release on streaming or other platforms is not covered by the licence above and may require our prior written permission and a separate licensing arrangement. If you wish to use your song in any of these ways, please contact us to discuss this first.
Because each song is a bespoke item created specifically for you, our approach to cancellations and refunds differs from standard retail purchases. Full details are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
We aim to keep our website available and functioning correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for any loss arising from the website being temporarily unavailable.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in how we operate or in applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. The Terms in place at the time you place an order will apply to that order.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your order will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any statutory rights you may have as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
